Dr. Jeffrey Smith and Dr. Kylee Voigt at the Inaugural Skyline Races in May

At Alpenglow Physical Therapy, movement isn’t just part of the job, it’s a way of life. That’s one of the reasons the team proudly supports Billings TrailNet and the work being done to expand safe, accessible trails throughout our community.

“Our profession is all about movement and accessibility,” owner and founder Dr. Jeffrey Smith shared. “Helping people enjoy Montana’s beauty through safe, fun, and effective movement aligns perfectly with who we are and what we do.”

The connection goes beyond the clinic. Members of the Alpenglow team are passionate trail users themselves, including Dr. Smith who regularly runs on the Skyline. He said he has completed ultramarathons ranging from 50K races to 50-mile trail events, such as the Rut and events near Acton, embracing the challenge and beauty of Montana’s landscapes.

For them, movement is medicine.

“The greatest thing we can do for our bodies is to keep moving,” he said. Whether recovering from an injury, training for an endurance race, or simply enjoying a walk with family, staying active plays a critical role in long-term health.

Supporting Billings TrailNet is also their way of giving back.

“The Billings community has been so supportive of our business. TrailNet is an amazing organization that benefits our community, and supporting its mission is one way we can give back.”

Alpenglow Physical Therapy also encourages the community to stay active by participating in local events like the Yellowstone Hustle on August 29, which benefits Live Like Jace. Registration is now open, offering another opportunity to celebrate movement while supporting a great cause.

We’re grateful to Alpenglow Physical Therapy for investing in healthier people, stronger communities, and a more connected trail system for everyone.
