The Billings Kiwanis, Billing’s Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Bike Shop, Spoke Shop and Collin’s Bike Shop have combined resources to offer the 20th Annual Youth Bicycle Rodeo scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 10:00 – 11:30 AM at Pioneer Park, near wading pool and rest rooms.

All boys and girls in kdgn-3rd grade attending Broadwater, Highland, McKinley, Newman, Orchard, Ponderosa and Washington Schools are invited to bring their bike for tune-up or select a free bike.  The Bicycle Rodeo will provide youngsters with a free bicycle tune-up, bike safety instruction, refreshments, obstacle course, plus free bicycles and helmets for families without.  Rodeo ends at 11:30 AM.

The Billings Kiwanis Club is seeking donated youth bicycles from the Billings area that need little or no repair.  The bikes will be cleaned-up, repaired and given to families in need.  If you would like to donate a youth bicycle to this program, please bring your bike/s to the Bike Shop at 1934 Grand Ave, Spoke Shop 1911 Broadwater or Collin’s Bike Shop 1120 16th St West.

Billings families interested in participating in the Bike Rodeo are encouraged to pick-up a Bicycle Rodeo registration May 1-17, at their school, plus Spoke Shop, Bike Shop or Collin’s Bike Shop.  For further information, please call Kiwanis member, Bill Clagg at 245-8051or Bob Southern 252-0174.

To prepare for bike rodeo, a repair and tune-up night has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 9, 6:30-8:30 PM at the old Heights Cyclery Bike Shop, located on Main Street across from Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant 1400 block.  Bike workers also needed Saturday, May 19, Pioneer Park north of wading pool.  If you can volunteer for either May 9 and/or May 19 please contact Bill Clagg at 245-8051 or 670-6591.
