Deputy Public Works Director Vern Heisler is actively seeking public input in the Billings Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), Billings’ short-range plan which identifies capital projects; including bicycle pedestrian paths, and identifies the schedule for building and options for financing the plan.  Projects in this CIP range from 2018-2022.

32nd St. West – King Ave. West to Gabel Road  reconstruction in 2021
At this time the CIP is in draft form, and will be presented to City Council at its work session March 6, 2017.  At their business meeting March 27, Council will formalize the plan after the public hearing that evening.
The public is invited to give their input on projects they would like to see added or edited in advance of these presentations. Vern has provided many opportunities to learn more and comment on the plan:
1. The public is invited to come to the next Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) to hear a presentation about the CIP by Planning, Engineering and Transit. The BPAC meeting is scheduled for January 31, 2017, and will take place in the First Floor Conference Room in the Miller Building at 2825 3rd Avenue North, downtown.
2. There will be a public meeting at the Billings Public Library at 11:30 on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2017.
3. In addition to the public meetings, the public is invited to comment on the projects by emailing Vern at HeislerV@ci.billings.mt.us.
