Yellowstone Cellars and Winery was packed with cheer and enthusiastic members last Thursday, Nov. 16 at our Membership Appreciation Event.

Billings TrailNet’s Program Coordinator, Lynn Harper, brought the group together with great energy and awarded many members with volunteer gifts.

Executive Director Kristi Drake updated the group about the newest developments with the Skyline Trail, where this summer we plan to develop a soft surface trail (or paved if there are funds/donations to do so), between the upcoming pedestrian underpass at Zimmerman Trail, and connecting with Zimmerman Park’s parking lot.

Karen Sanford Gall, Executive Director of Big Sky State Games and Montana Amateur Sports manager, accepted an award from Billings TrailNet for the significant contributions donated from the Heart & Sole Run.

Ernie Lee, managing partner of the Rimrock Auto Group, also accepted an award for Rimrock Subaru’s longstanding Ales for Trails sponsorships at the Trail Builder level.

Billings’ mayor-elect, Bill Cole, also a longstanding member and Ales for Trails sponsor, noted that for the first time in a city election, trails were at the top of the list in the dialogue between candidates.

Thank you to members for joining us at this festive event, for your donations that evening and for volunteering to help us build our trail system.
