Yellowstone Fitness has partnered with BikeNet in December 2nd’s “Giving Tuesday” campaign. Together and with the help of the Billings community, BikeNet has the chance to raise more than $1,000 for the trail system in just one day! For every $100 the community gives to BikeNet on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, Yellowstone Fitness will match that donation, up to a total of $500.
Giving Tuesday is a first of its kind effort that harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners– charities, families, individuals and businesses– to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.
For Don Christensen, Owner and General Manager of Yellowstone Fitness, providing this match was an easy decision: “ Giving back to our community is very important to Yellowstone Fitness.

We have chosen to help put the emphasis on giving during the holidays and are kicking it off with BikeNet on Giving Tuesday. We share a similar mission with BikeNet and believe in the overall health and wellness of our community,” he explains.
Coinciding with the Thanksgiving holiday and the kickoff of the holiday shopping season, Giving Tuesday will inspire people to take collaborative action to improve their local communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they support and help create a better world. Giving Tuesday harnesses the power of social media to create a national movement around the holidays dedicated to giving, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become days that are today, synonymous with holiday shopping.
Anyone interested in donating to BikeNet on Giving Tuesday and helping raise $1,000 for the trail system can call and make a pledge at 406-281-1244, or donate online at https://weblink.donorperfect.com/GivingTuesday2BikeNet.
Donations to BikeNet will be used to build and maintain the Billings trail system, which benefits everyone of all ages who use the trails for walking, biking, running, skating or other outings.
