On November 12, 2025, the City of Billings Public Works hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on the newly constructed Rose Park Trail. There was a celebration afterwards with a speed-walking competition that BTN staff members Kristi Drake and Kristy Halderman promptly lost to younger community members from neighboring Rose Park Elementary School.
The 1,423-foot trail links 19th St W to 21st St W, to connect Rose Park with Rose Park Elementary School. The city received a grant from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, and matching funds from Billings TrailNet with motion-activated solar lights donated by Partners for Parks.
