As a follow-up to the September 2014 downtown pedestrian counts, the City will be conducting counts at five more locations this May and they need your help!

If it gets counted, it matters! One of the greatest challenges for the bicycle and pedestrian field is a lack of documentation on usage and demand. Without accurate and consistent data, it can be difficult to measure the positive investments in these modes, especially compared to those with a more detailed chronicle of usage.

Counting people walking and riding bicycles helps to better understand the transportation network in a way that can help guide future investments.

Please contact buttsj@ci.billings.mt.us to volunteer.
