More Than 150 People Walked, Ran or Rode Their Bike Up and Down Zimmerman Trail Last Sunday, June 8, 2014
Last week, BikeNet organized a walk/run/ride for anyone who always wanted to experience Zimmerman Trail with no cars!
BikeNet took advantage of the unpaved road and got permission from the City of Billings to let pedestrians and cyclists have the whole road for a few hours.
Despite the potholes and gravel, 154 people took to the road. “There’s an appeal to it because it heads right to the top of the rims,” said BikeNet board of directors member, Kevin Odenthal. “The problem is that it’s always so busy that no one can ride on it, at least not safely.”
Thank you to everyone who helped organize and support this event! Kevin Odenthal and Enrique Diaz: Rockstars!
