Check out these great trail improvements our community can now enjoy! Our committees of dedicated volunteers are doing great things at Billings TrailNet. They have helped raise $395,000 in funding for trail projects in 2025.
Our Grants Committee is responsible for:
- Being awarded and providing the matching funds for the $84,000 RTP Big Ditch Trail extension grant project
- Being awarded and providing the matching funds for the $43,444 TSP Black Otter Trail crack sealing and seal coating project
- Being awarded and providing the matching funds for the $59,000 RTP way finding signage
Our Fundraising Committee helped us raise enough to:
- Give Public Works $7,990 to purchase and install two bike lane counters on the downtown 2-way cycle tracks
- Provide $32,000 in matching funds for the Planning Department’s $150,000 RTP and TSP Rose Park Trails grant project
Our Events Committee:
- Hosted 3 trail cleanup events
- Educated bicyclists on how to use the 2 way cycle track with two rides: Great Downtown Bike Roll & Day of the Tread
Also, in coordination with the Planning Department, Billings TrailNet funded a $50,000 feasibility study to determine the feasibility of the Yellowjacket Trail (27th from MSUB to the airport roundabout).
