Sandy VanCleeve & Linda Spear were two of three graduates of our first Bicycle Black Belt traffic safety class held on August 26 (not pictured, Heather Gentry).

The course covered matters such as traffic law, bicycle codes, and lane positioning. The hands-on nature allowed Sandy, Linda, and Heather to actively participate and put the newfound knowledge to use on their own bikes.

For Sandy VanCleeve, her motivation to take the class was to gain enough confidence to ride on the streets of Billings. She said she wanted to learn how to correctly react to situations and be aware while on her bike. After completing Bicycle Black Belt, Sandy feels much more confident and states, “everyone that owns a bicycle needs to go to this class. It’s a must. It gives so much information and real-life knowledge you can use.”
