The benefits of being a member:
1. You are joining an organization who advocates for further trail development in and around Billings. The more members, the stronger the voice when we ask the city for trails on behalf of our community. Imagine how responsive our officials will be when we can say we have 10,000 members who want to run, walk and bike in safe places around our city!
2. Once you become a Billings TrailNet member, you will be considered a lifetime member. You will get a membership card which gets you into classes at Anytime Fitness at a discounted price; you will have opportunities to volunteer; be invited to members-only social events; receive an email newsletter to keep you up to date on the latest Billings trail news; and $1 of your membership goes to Bike Walk Montana, Montana’s Voice for Bicyclists and Pedestrians, where your voice is heard at the state policy level.
This year, Billings TrailNet is introducing the new Trail Fitness payment plan. Similar to a gym membership, Billings TrailNet is encouraging members to consider how much the trails are worth to them and to contribute accordingly. Do you use the trails every day to stay active? Do you take your kids on the trails on the weekends to get exercise and fresh air? Or, do you commute to work or errands by using even a small portion of our trails? Many people walk on the trails to relieve some stress by taking lunchtime walks on the trails. If any of these activities applies to you, please contribute to further trail development and maintenance by donating to Billings TrailNet! An average gym membership runs about $40 per individual and between $65 and $80 per family, so why not support the trail system in a similar way?
Also new this year on the Billings TrailNet website is the option for recurring monthly donations. Simply click on the “monthly” dropdown option under “Frequency” on our online membership form and we will run your credit card every month for the amount that you choose! Giving to support the trails has never been so easy!
Billings TrailNet is a non-profit, grassroots organization that supports urban trails in and around the Billings community. We increase awareness and encourage the use of the trails in our community, and raise funds to support trail building and maintenance so that Billings residents can have safe places to run, bike, walk, wheel, skate, and be outside and active!
