Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered at, and helped organize Ales for Trails! This year we had more than 2,000 people attend the event and made more than $70,000 to help support the trail system in Billings.

Check out some Ales for Trails highlights below!

At 4pm we were ready to receive our sponsors at the VIP event. Attendees were welcomed with delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by Lucky’s Market and a few beers to sample. Lindsey Jacobsen provided music for the sponsors. Lindsey, incidentally, got married earlier that day to her husband that she met at Ales for Trails in 2012! In honor of her wedding, we threw her a small wedding reception with a cake!

At 5pm guests began to stream into Dehler Park. Our first 2,000 guests received a special 15th anniversary Silipint tasting glass. Once in the gate, guests enjoyed more than 50 brews, delicious food from 4 food trucks and good company! This year, Ales for Trails also featured the added attraction of giant beer pong.

As the evening wore on, the Very Important Bicycle (VIB) Parking began to fill up, thanks in part to group bike rides, like the one from The Spoke Shop that had 50 riders! Volunteers worked hard into the evening to pour beer, staff the gates, and sell raffle tickets. Popular local music groups The Kemmick Brothers, Becky Sappington and Ryan Ryley, the Maverick String Stretchers and Gretchlove, provided entertainment. After sunset, attendees packed into Uberbrew’s Silent Disco to show off their dance moves!

Ales for Trails ended at 10pm, but not before raffle winners walked away with their prizes:  a New Belgium Fat Tire bike, a wine and beer basket, a two- hour Segway tour, and a basket of bike accessories!

What a great Ales for Trails! We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
