A trail segment is being built under Aronson Avenue along Alkali Creek. This will link Black Otter Trail and Alkali Creek trails to the trail between Two Moon and Coulson parks, and according to the Parks & Rec department, should be completed by the second week in October.

Construction
Ponderosa School Path will go from Kings Green subdivision (east of Ponderosa School) and extend west through the school to tie into an existing sidewalk in front of Sam’s Club. This path which will run parallel to Orchard Lane, is in the design phase. Construction should begin in the spring of 2015, weather permitting.

A Good Route Sought from Zoo to Riverfront Park

Planners and trail advocates are seeking a good bike/walk route between Riverfront Park and Zoo Montana. A feasibility study group has been formed and is considering how to get over or under the railroad and interstate between the Zoo and Riverfront Park.  The optimal route will have the best possibility for a pleasant trail riding experience. This trail could provide a safe route for children to bike to Elysian School from both Josephine Crossing and the proposed Elysian subdivision.
There will be a public open house on Wednesday, Sept 24 from 4:30-6:30 at the Elysian School Gym.
